Welcome to the new Rose Bridge Academy website.

Rose Bridge Academy is a mixed 11-16 comprehensive school, serving our local community, where every student is valued and treated as an individual. We are proud of our caring, inclusive ethos were we set high standards and expectations and we encourage and support our students to achieve their very best. Students themselves developed our values of Respect, Believe and Achieve, and these underpin everything that we do. The Academy is well resourced with excellent facilities.

Our website is a celebration of the wide range of our students’ achievements and will give you an indication of the many opportunities available at Rose Bridge Academy.

Visitors are always welcome to make an appointment to visit the Academy and see what we have to offer, talk to our staff and students and see us in action.

Future Cheer Competition

Haigh Hall Fun Day

On Easter Monday Dana Lee Moon, Katie Skett, Zoe Kenyon, Robyn Wright and Michaela Locket along with Mrs Gaskell and Miss Sharples supported the Brick at Haigh Halls Easter Monday celebrations. During the course of the day they manned the Coconut Shy, Throw Ball and Crazy Golf and helped raise a grand total of £535.32 . This is a fantastic amount of money and will support the Brick over the next 12 months.

Laura Quinn

We are lucky to have Laura Quinn, runner up in the Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the year award, coming into school to work with some of our Year 10 students on their observational drawings.

Laura is in each Thursday from 9am to 11am for the next 4 weeks, and will be giving professional advice to students regarding many different skills sets.

Academy Conversion

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, the Academy conversion has been delayed until 1st April.

Badminton Master Class

On Thursday 12th February some of our Year 9 and 11 students took part in a Badminton Master Class day. They worked closely with specialist coaches from All Stars Badminton, receiving specialist training and guidance from the experts!

Well done to those students who were selected.

A Day the Wigan Way

Students from Rose Bridge High School spent the day learning about the culture of Wigan Rugby club, and how to demonstrate the right attitude both on the rugby field and at school.
