Quarry Bank Mill 2014

On Tuesday, Year 9 visited Quarry Bank Mill for the day. The day was a huge success with praises from staff about how well behaved and keen to learn our students were. Well done Year 9, hope you enjoyed yourself!

Year 7 Rugby vs Abraham Guest

Last night the Year 7 Rugby Team competed in a tournament at Abraham Guest High School. The students played really well with a convincing win against Birchall in our first game four tries to two, with an exceptional full length try coming from Adam Bailey. This was backed up with some good running from all the players especially Kallen Rodgers and Rico Boyd.

The second game was a hard fought fixture but in the end losing two tries to nil to the host school Abraham Guest.

The third game was a thriller big tackles and runs coming in from all the team. In the last game we came up against a strong St Peters team unfortunately losing 5 tries to nil. Overall it was a really good team performance as our first outing as a team.

Outward Bound

20 Year 11 Boys travelled to Aberdyfi in Snowdonia to participate in a week long residential with the theme "Aiming Higher". During the course of the week students participated in a series of challenging activities including an overnight camping expedition which included walking up the mountain Tarren Hendre and Jetty Jump. The students worked hard to overcome personal and team challenges and came back to school with a renewed determination towards their studies.
